Argestues is a small village in the Catalan Pyrenees, in Valls d’Aguilar, in the region of Alt Urgell, 16 km from La Seu d’Urgell and 26 km from Andorra. The diversion to reach Argestues is precisely at kilometre 172 of the C-14, halfway between Organyà and La Seu d’Urgell. You cross the bridge over the River Segre and go to Noves de Segre, which is two kilometres away. When you get Noves de Segre, follow the signs to Argestues. Here the road becomes narrower as it is a mountain road, but it is paved and well preserved. When you reach the meadows of Argestues turn left making a little hill and you have arrived. Some navigation systems show other routes that are not tarred tracks, which are difficult unless you have a 4×4. The only access by paved road is from Noves de Segre. In winter we recommend you have snow chains for your car, although they are but rarely needed.
